Hollis did a fantastic job educating us on all of the mattresses that he offered! We were interested in the Avacado line and he spent a lot of time telling us about all of our different options! Smooth and easy and he was so very friendly! Ended up buying the Avocado Deluxe with extra amenities to go with it!! Thanks Hollis for making us feel welcome and with no pressure! We had a great experience at Austin Natural Mattress. We walked in with an idea of what we wanted but needing to understand the product more. Charles was very knowledgeable about the product (Avocado) and seemed very honest and willing to share his own experiences with different products in the store. We expected to get a better price from the brand online but we actually ended up with a better deal by shopping locally at Austin Natural Mattress. They also match the brand's return policy if needed so overall they definitely had the more competitive and customer-friendly offering. I'm glad we went into the store to try the products in person because it ultimately influenced our decision. It was a bonus that we ended up walking out with a better deal than expected. Would highly recommend this retailer to anyone.

Had been looking at mattresses for a while and stopped into Austin Natural Mattress on a Saturday to have a look. Met with Charles and looked at several models and took notes and was headed to next place to look at what they had to offer. We ended up going across the street to eat and think about it and ended up coming right back in and buying. Charles was EXTREMELY helpful, laid back, and great to work with. If you come here and see Charles, you are in good hands. Mattress was delivered the following Thursday (the day I am writing this) and the driver was well within the time frame quoted. Couldn't be happier. We ended up getting the Avocado Green and so far so good. If you are looking for a fair deal on mattresses in a no pressure store, this is a good place to start.

I had an outstanding experience here with Hollis Chandler. He was extremely helpful explaining the various kinds of mattresses they carried.He gave helpful advice on testing a mattress (lay on it like how you'd sleep) and was able to pick out the perfect mattress for me after I tested a few.This store carries extremely high quality natural and organic mattresses, and Hollis was extremely professional and helpful. Shopping for a mattress or multiple mattresses can be daunting to say the least. They can get shockingly expensive these days. It's a process I consider a "grudge purchase" : something you really don't want to spend a grip on, but you probably should: which isn't exactly the most pleasant process. I recently had to purchase multiple mattresses for a cabin property that desperately needed an update. My sister-in-law was having a laugh at my expense / the prospect of me driving around alone to try out mattresses. I found several places that were oddly, permanently closed and also ended up in a few "Mattress Firms" (which I think must be a front for something!). After a lot for frustration and some laughter, my sister-in-law suggested that I try Austin Natural mattress: that she would never shop anywhere else...When I walked into the location I was pleasantly surrounded by some very interesting music playing on their house system. It was some arcane Ween music from a somewhat obscure live album. They've been one of my favorite bands for more than a few decades now, and you don't often hear their music in a retail setting! I was greeted by a pleasant gentleman wearing a Ween T-shirt & noticed he had an inconspicuous yet somewhat prominent (and esoteric!) Ween tattoo on his calf. I knew I was in the right place. If I remember correctly Charles (the sales rep) told me he had Ween Shirts for practically every day of the year & he intended to wear a different one every day. As someone that actually followed this band on some tours back in the late 1990s: this is fascinating news that brings back a flood of fond memories. We exchanged more pleasantries about our mutual Ween fandom as I sampled the wide array of gorgeous all organic and non-chemical mattresses. They have some killer ones, and for something you spend close to 1/3 of your life on: it seems wise to get something that doesn't off-gas hydrocarbons and other chemicals as they slowly break down.After trying several really nice mattresses that ranged widely in price I settled on the Avocado all organic mattress: King sized. I didn't ever think I could afford such a luxurious item, but I somehow got in on the last minute of their Labor Day sale. As a laborer myself: I couldn't be more pleased with the process and outcome of this exchange.Several months in, and I'm sleeping more comfortably than ever. The only drawback is that traveling has become more difficult because most places don't have beds nearly as nice as mine. It was great to find what I was looking for from a local dealer that believes in protecting the environment and keeping good vibes going in the community. I would second my sister's advice & recommend the community look no farther than Austin Natural Mattress when it comes time to improve your sleep comfort!

Great local spot with a variety of selections for mattresses and pillows. They also have mattress protectors. Besides the quality of the products, I’m most impressed by the friendly and attentive customer service. Seriously, THE nicest staff. If you’re shopping for a new mattress and some comfy pillows, don’t look any further! As a bonus, you’re supporting a local business as opposed to a large chain.—————The products themselves: Our mattress was purchased years ago and it’s still in great condition! No sinking in, no springs poking our backs, no creaking. We also have a mattress protector that has prevented water stains and pet accidents from ruining our mattress.Today, we went in for pillows and the choices did not disappoint! There are options for everyone. Soft, firm, and everywhere in between. Fun fact: we spend about 1/3 of our lives sleeping. So happy to start sleeping on our new pillows!

Our organic mattress was customized per side to each of our needs. Plus it was made in the USA and parts are replaceable. We got the adjustable base and we'll never go back. Charles was great at helping me find the best setup for my needs.

I didn’t think I’d ever review a mattress store, but this down-to-earth shop in the fancy furniture district seemed like the place to buy the most important thing in my house. And it was the perfect place - personalized attention, quality products, and all the bells and whistles we need (100 night guarantee, they’ll haul away our old mattress). Highly recommended, I’m telling everyone!

Really great products, helpful and knowledgeable people, especially Charles who is patient and very helpful. Great place to come to get yourself a mattress that will not only give you a great night sleep but also peace of mind on quality and nontoxic components. We came in with terrible back pains back when there were supply delays and the store loaned us toppers to help us while we waited for our custom mattress to come in. When we needed a mattress for our son it was an easy choice to come back to Austin Natural Mattress.

My family visited the store to pick out a new queen size bed. Charles was very helpful and showed us the options, and didn't try to pressure us into buying anything. The store is well organized, and it is easy to compare all the different bed and pillow options. My kids also had a great time, Charles gave them a book to read while we were testing out beds, and also let them play with one of the demo beds that could be re-shaped with a remote, which they loved.

Amazing customer service here. I had to cancel an order I made a couple of days ago for a special bed for my daughter with special needs. Steve was so warm-hearted and understanding. He assured me it was no problem and told me if I ever needed anything to give him a call. When I am ready for a bed or mattress, I will definitely be calling on Steve. He is a genuinely nice man with a caring heart!

You sell the best mattresses!!! Love my Latex mattress I purchased from your Bee Cave location. James Grantham assisted me with my purchase. Based on my needs he knew which one would work. He spent a lot of time fine tuning the firmness that was best suited for my body. He always has a sunny disposition and you can tell he has a passion for what he does. Thank you James Grantham!!! Dustin was an exceptional salesman. We went in to store to look at the Avocado mattress. We firm believers in Consumer Reports. Avocado Green Mattress was rated #1 out of 185 reviews. He took the time to tell us all about how they are made. There was no sales pressure to buy right now. He wanted us to be well informed about this brand. There are 2 Avocado stores in Texas, one in Houston and other in Austin. Wife and I tried several different brands and we decided on the Avocado Green firm mattress, with a Avocado 2” topper. Mattress was great for wife who is a side sleeper and I sleep on my back. We were going to buy Green mattress with the built in 2” topper, but he showed us you can buy the 2” topper separately and save about 300.00. When topper gets too stained from body oils you just throw it away and buy a new topper. Thanks Dustin for a great sales experience. Ricky Rose Sonnier

My husband and I had an incredible experience at Houston natural mattress, they do carry amazing beds but the experience was wholey due to Dustin! He was beyond knowledgeable about mattresses and the importance of personalization, taking the time to understand exactly what we each needed.When we got married, we splurged on a very expensive Hästens bed, thinking it would be the ultimate luxury. Unfortunately, we quickly realized it had a ridiculous lack of support, to the point that we literally wouldn’t sleep in it. We decided to visit this store to get a mattress for a floor bed for our son, and we are so happy we did because we ended up going back a week later and replacing our Hästens.With Dustin’s guidance, we found beds that truly work for us, and the difference has been life-changing. The support, comfort, and overall quality are exactly what we had been searching for. We couldn’t be happier with our new beds and only wish we had come here sooner! If you’re looking for expert advice and top-tier service, ask for Dustin—you won’t regret it!

Steve Chandler was great to work with in the Houston store. He was not your typical pushy sales guy who follows you around the store. He was nice and gave you necessary information when you asked. I could tell he really cared about finding the right fit bed for you and your spouse and let you try any bed you wanted and explained everything from how many coils, amount of latex or wool a mattress had. He had one ask of his customers which was to actually sleep on the bed and see how it feels rather than just sitting on the bed. Would recommend this store and Steve if you are in the market for an organic or all natural mattress.

The owner Steve was very knowledgeable on the different mattress companies and mattress components. He educated us on this the components are made and which components in traditional mattresses are unhealthy/toxic to the body. He was easy to talk to and patient with all of my questions. We arrived at 10 am on a Tuesday and we were the only customers in the store for 2.5 hours which was helpful to have full use of the mattresses and the ears of the owner. We ended up ordering the Posh + Lavish brand Fusion mattress. I’m looking forward to the day that the shipment arrives at our house. I highly recommend this store if you are curious about natural mattresses.

Steve was one of most helpful and knowledge salesman I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. He dedicated 4 hours of total time with my family spanning 4 separate visits. Great place to buy a natural organic mattress! We had already bought a mattress online from another manufacturer and didn't like the feel of it, so we decided to go physically try out mattresses ourselves.
